SHARE YOUR TIME, TALENT AND PASSION FOR CONSERVATION
There are many ways that you can make a difference. The opportunities are almost endless, and we need your help.
Volunteers are vital to the success of our conservation work. It was volunteers who first started the Land Trust of Virginia and it is volunteers who are the backbone of the Land Trust today.

We have many different volunteer opportunities, from potential work-from-home options, assisting with special events, advocating in the community, providing technical services, taking photos, following us on social media, and yearly monitoring visits of conserved properties out in the field! These are just a few things you can do when donating your time and talent.

“Potomac Mitigation helps landowners generate revenue and improve their properties via stream and wetland restoration and/or conversion of row-crop land to less-intensive uses like hay fields or forest. These ecological restoration activities can generate offset credits that are sold to others at a substantial profit. Potomac has the legal and regulatory knowhow to benefit under federal and state programs and the capital required for what can be expensive restoration projects. We also have a network of clients to whom offset credits can be sold. Let us help you monetize your investment in your property!”

A THIRTY-TWO-YEAR LEGACY OF LAND CONSERVATION
Is your business interested in helping to celebrate and maintain Virginia’s unique places and landscapes?
YOUR BUSINESS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Virginia’s landscape—its farms, forests, mountains, rivers, and streams—is a big part of why people live and work here. Businesses, both large and small, are helping to ensure that we can assist families in conserving their land. They are helping us to protect our open spaces, agricultural land, natural areas, and cultural heritage—all the wonderful resources Virginia is known for.
You can also be part of this and raise your business profile as an annual Land Trust business sponsor.
The Land Trust of Virginia (LTV) has different contribution levels and benefits associated with each level of support. LTV will also work with you to design customized benefits to meet your marketing and philanthropic goals. This includes sponsorship for events like the annual LTV Garden Party, Tour de Conservation Easement Bike Event, Sunset in the Field, or a specific program like the Blue Ridge Conservation Initiative.
